Corona infection has suddenly increased in the Premier League. Last week, 40 players and club staff tested positive for the coronavirus. The number is double that of the previous week.
It has been tested once a week before. In the Premier League, 2295 corona tests were done in two rounds last week.
Between 28 and 31 December, 28 reports were received and between 1 and 3 January, 12 reports were positive.
Earlier, from December 21 to 27, there were 18 positive reports.
