PDB’s  Meter Readers demand employment in Chandpur

`Pitchrate ‘ readers of the country’s Electricity Development Board (PDB) have long sincerely and sincerely neglected natural disasters, including rain and thunderstorms have been tasked with receiving meter readings and accessing electricity bills for customers.

To reduce the system lodge in the country, the government opened pre-paid meters in customers’ homes and installed pre-paid meters in four eastern districts including Chandpur.  Meter Readers appreciated the installation of pre-paid meters in exchange for the positive impact of modern technology  but hundreds of  meter readers became unemployed in the area. Some of them have passed the service age of 20 -25 yrs. But now they are not able to earn any other profession.

It is very painful if the sole income earner of the family lives unemployed at this age. As a result, the family has been living with the family for two and a half years. Several meter readers have reported that they are spending a day of hunger, told  on Tuesday (Sept 7th).

PM  Sheikh Hasina’s initiative; Like other power department officials and employees, they have played a commendable role in implementing this slogan ` House-to-house electricity ‘. Today, where the government has announced the employment of one person in every house. Hundreds of meters of readers have become unemployed because there is no alternative. She is currently in charge of this Department, the daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Meter readers are currently overwhelmed and frustrated by the unemployment curse. Modern technology has blocked the way of bread-making.

A pre-paid meter has been replaced in Chandpur with 60,000 customers. They used to get bills of Rs.2 .5 per meter and meter readings for these customers. The number of them in Chandpur is about 25- 30. In the meantime, they have presented their memorandum to the MP, Minister and Prime Minister through the concerned Deputy Commissioner to take necessary action. Through posters , they complained of lack of complaint.

Applying for pre-paid meter monitoring or any other responsibility to solve their unemployment problem, they have appealed to all concerned to make a living for them.
