Bomb attack on Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh. Two of his companions were killed and at least seven were injured. However, Amrullah Saleh survived for some moment.
The attack took place in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Wednesday morning, local time.
“Once again today, the enemies of Afghanistan have tried to harm Amrullah Saleh,” Rajwan Murad, a spokesman for the Afghan vice president, said in a Facebook post. But they have failed to achieve the goal. Saleh came out unharmed from the attack.
He said a roadside bomb had exploded targeting the Afghan vice president’s convoy. Several of Saleh’s bodyguards were injured.
Afghan health ministry officials said two bodies and seven injured people had been taken to hospital.
