Agriculture officer died by train knocking at Chandpur

Subash Chandra Majumdar (55), an agricultural office’s died after Knocking at train in Chandpur. The accident took place on Tuesday, Feb 4 at 12:30 pm on the west side of the city’s Mission Road rail crossing area.

The deceased was identified as Subhash Chandra Majumder, son of late Mahindra Chandra Majumder of Kali Bazar village in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur district. He worked for a long time as an Accountant in the Chandpur District Agricultural Extension Office. Due to their employment, they used to rent a house in the Bipanibag house in the city.

Eye-witnesses said he was sitting on the train on the west side of the Mission Road Railway Gate Tuesday afternoon. At that time, he was hit by a Sagarika train leaving Laksam and was critically injured by bloody wounds along the railway line.

Eye-witnesses immediately rescued and took him into Chandpur Government General Hospital for treatment after the doctor declared him dead.

According to family sources, Subhash Chandra Majumdar was physically ill for a long time. So he would often walkout. On the day of the incident and he walked out of the office. They may have been suffering from an accident that couldn’t hear the sound of the train due to illness.

Chandpur Natun Bazar Fire Service Leader Kabir Hossain said that when we received news of a thorny accident on the train. We rushed him to the spot and took him to hospital. After being taken there, the doctor declared him dead.
