Today is World Animal Day.October 04, World Animal Day. This day is celebrated for the rights and welfare of all the animals of the world.

According to the official website, the main goal of the day is to improve the condition of animals in every part of the world through welfare. Bringing together the animal welfare movement through the celebration of World Animal Day, strengthening it internationally to make the world a better habitat for every living thing. The day is celebrated differently in different countries irrespective of race, religion, creed or political ideology. Build the world through greater public awareness and education where animals are considered as sensitive species.

World Animal Day was first published by Henrik Zimmermann, a German writer and publisher in Mens und Hund / Man and Dog magazine. He celebrated this day on March 24, 1925 at the Berlin Sport Palace in Germany. More than 5,000 people attended the event. The day was originally scheduled to be celebrated on October 04, in conjunction with the feast of St. Francis of St. ACC, the saint of ecology. But due to space constraints at that time, the day was not observed on this day. This day was first observed on October 04, 1929. At first he only got followers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia on this day. Zimmerman has worked tirelessly every year to popularize World Animal Day. Finally, in a resolution he raised at the International Congress for the Protection of Animals in Florence, Italy in 1931, October 04 was recognized as World Animal Day.

It is sometimes said that World Animal Day was introduced in 1931 at a conference of ecologists in Florence, Italy, to bring endangered species to the attention of all.

Uniting the animal protection movement, World Animal Day has now become a global event, led and sponsored by a UK-based animal welfare charity since 2003.
