Protesters clashed with Lebanese security forces during anti-government protests in Beirut on Thursday. Security forces stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Tear gas was used to disperse the protesters.
The government says 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate was stored unsafely in a warehouse for six years.
However, many Lebanese have blamed the government for the blast, which killed at least 135 people and injured 5,000 others.
The twin blasts turned the entire district of the capital into rubble. A government investigation launched after the blast has led to the arrest of 16 accused.
