Anti-Mask Protests In Spain

Anti-mask protests in Spain.Thousands of people have gathered in the Spanish capital, Madrid, for anti-mask protests. They oppose the use of masks and other strict restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The use of masks on public transport was made mandatory last May. Later the use of masks became mandatory across the country. Recently the Spanish government imposed new restrictions across the country. Spain has banned smoking in public.

Protests erupted two days after the new ban was imposed. Public smoking has been banned due to the resumption of coronavirus infection. But ordinary people have voted against it.

According to a provincial government directive, smoking will be prohibited if it is not possible to maintain adequate social distance in roads, hotels, restaurants or bars. A study by the Spanish Ministry of Health last month found that smoking was directly linked to the spread of the coronavirus.

Spain lifted a three-month lockdown at the end of last June. Infections have resurfaced across the country since the lockdown was lifted. In the country where the infection was less than one and a half hundred per day last June, now it has increased to at least one and a half thousand per day.

In Spain so far 3 lakh and 58 thousand 843 people have been affected by corona. Of these, 28,617 people died. Corona’s presence in China was first detected last December. So far, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries and regions around the world.

The United States currently has the highest rate of corona disease. Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during this time. Spain is in the top 10 in corona infections.
