Corona patients free treatment has at Bellevue Hospital in Chandpur.Corona treatment is finally being introduced at the city’s Bellevue Hospital (pvt) to reduce pressure on Chandpur Government General (Sadar) Hospital.
The matter was finalized at a joint meeting of the district administration, police administration and health department with the Chandpur District Private Hospital Owners Association on Wednesday, August 11. Earlier, the private hospital owners’ association had proposed to convert Barakah Hospital (Pvt.) adjacent to the city’s Hilsa Chattar into a corona hospital on a temporary basis. However, Bellevue Hospital was finalized at Wednesday’s meeting.
In this regard, the managing director of Chandpur Bellevue (Pvt.) Hospital and former president of the district BMA Harun-ur-Rashid Sagar said their hospital will have 20 corona patients. There will be 6 beds in one ward on the second floor and 14 beds in two wards on the fourth floor. There will be no cabin.
“After getting the decision of the private hospital owners’ association and administration, we have started the work of launching corona unit in our hospital,” he said. Other private hospitals are supposed to cooperate with us in other areas including oxygen. We hope that the treatment of Corona patients will start in our hospital from Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish presided over the meeting.Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, Civil Surgeon Sakhawat Ullah, Chandpur District Private Hospital Owners Association President SM Shahid Ullah, General Secretary Shafiqul Islam, Managing Director of Bellevue Hospital and former President of Chandpur District BMA Harun-ur-Rashid Sagar, former president of Chandpur district BMA NM Huda, general secretary Mahmudun Nabi Masum Pramukh and others also join the meeting.
