Bomb recovered from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport

Another ‘bomb’ weighing 250 kg was recovered from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Another cylinder-like ‘bomb’ weighing 250 kg was recovered while digging at the third terminal under construction at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital. The bomb was recovered on Monday, December 14 morning. The bomb was reportedly being sent to the Rasulpur Firing Range Tangail.

Earlier, another bomb was recovered while digging on Wednesday afternoon, December 9. Later they took it to Rasulpur base of the air force to deactivate it. Air force deactivated the 250 kg bomb there.

Confirming the matter, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Director Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul-Ahsan told the media that piling work was being done at the third terminal of Shahjalal Airport in the morning. At that time the workers saw a bomb that looked like a cylinder. The Air Force Bomb Disposal Unit later defused the bomb.
