Krishi Bank will disburse a loan of Tk. 204 crore in Chandpur. Bangladesh Krishi Bank is a specialized bank in the country. Krishi Bank is working for the agricultural production and development of the country. As a result, it provides loans to agriculture and farmers every year.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank has allocated Tk. 204.80 crore for the upcoming Rabi season of 2021-22 in 28 branches of 8 Upazilas in the Chandpur district.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank has allocated the money for agriculture, fisheries, cattle and poultry rearing, warehousing of produced crops, purchase of agricultural irrigation equipment, etc.
According to the information received, the money will be distributed in eight main sectors. Of these, Tk. 8 crores 75 lakh is for fisheries, Tk. 17 crores 30 lakh for livestock, Tk. 20 crore 50 lakh for purchase of agricultural machinery, Tk. 1 crore for seed production and conservation, Tk. 82 crore 25 lakh for crop production, and TK. 3 crore 72 lakh will be distributed for ongoing covid 19 programs in Chandpur.
Farmers, sharecroppers, fisheries and livestock, crop warehousing, oilseed production will be able to take loans from Bangladesh Krishi Bank at 8 percent interest, according to the bank’s sources.
Mohammad Fateh Khan, chief regional manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank in Chandpur, said on September 20,
“The money has been allocated to farmers in the Chandpur region for various sectors in the coming Rabi season.”
