Civil Surgeon Of Chandpur Not Yet Got 800 Corona Test Reports

Chandpur civil surgeon has not yet got more than 800 corona test reports. From Chandpur district, more than 100 reports are sent to Dhaka every day for testing for Covid-19 virus. But it has been seen that the report of one lab came in one day, the report of another lab came in 10/12 days but that report did not come. As a result, corona virus infection is increasing in the district.

Only seven reports came to the Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office on Thursday, June 18. Of these report 3 out of 7 people were found positive. A few days ago, 9 out of 10 reports came positive. The infection rate is 90 percent. Although hundreds of reports were sent from Chandpur, they were not tested on time and now the reports are tangled.

According to the Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office, 3,505 samples have been sent from Chandpur till yesterday. Of these 2,698 have been reported till yesterday. There are 807 reports pending. It is learned that many reports of the samples that left Chandpur on June 07 have not been received yet. In fact, there will be considerable doubt as to the accuracy of these reports.

According to the source, the samples that go for testing at the National Institute of Laboratory Medicine in Agargaon, Dhaka, take more than 8/10 days to arrive. However, the report of the samples that went to the Child Health Research Foundation in Dhaka Mohammadpur came within a day. Civil Surgeon Dr. Md Sakhawat Ullah drew the attention of local MP and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni to the issue of Chandpur’s report at a meeting of the District Coronation Prevention Committee a few days ago. The Education Minister has assured that he will take this matter seriously. But as soon as the solution is delayed, the report of Chandpur is being submitted to Dhaka. As a result, corona infections are on the rise as the people who gave the samples did not know the report in time and moved freely.

The three who received positive reports on Thursday are: a 55-year-old man from Dasadi village in Kalyanpur union, a 24-year-old woman from Bishnudi Madrasa Road area in Chandpur town and a 55-year-old man from Dhalirghat area in Balia union. The number of infected patients in the district including these three is now 511.

Meanwhile, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Golam Kawsar Himel confirmed the death of a Corona positive patient named Manu Mia (60) of Dhalaitali village of Matlab South Upazila.
