In Chandpur 17 More People Identified As Corona Infected In 24 Hours

In Chandpur, 17 more people including journalists were identified as corona infected in 24 hours.In the last 24 hours, 17 more people, including a journalist, have been identified in Chandpur. Of the 57 reports received from the IEDCR on Saturday, June 06, 17 came back positive. The rest are negative.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Jahangir(55) of Hajiganj upazila. He died on January 03 with corona symptoms. Jahangir, a businessman from Hajiganj Bazar, lives in Balia village of Hatila Union.

Meanwhile, Saiful Islam Sifat, editor of Priya Chandpur in Hajiganj and a journalist of the volunteers who helped in the burial of the dead in Hajiganj Upazila, was attacked by Corona. From the very beginning of the coronavirus infection, Sifat has been working to increase public awareness as well as professional responsibilities. At the same time, after the death of a woman in coronavirus, her relatives did not come forward and she dug a grave with the administration. Assisted in the burial of many dead people.

However, journalist Saiful Islam Sifat told Chandpur Times over his mobile phone that his physical condition is now healthy. He submitted the sample for corona test on June 03 due to symptoms. Today (June 06) his report from the Civil Surgeon’s Office is reported to be positive. He has been in isolation at home since the day the symptoms appeared. Besides, he is the RMO of Chandpur Government General Hospital and the focal person for district corona. Rubel is taking care of the treatment.

Meanwhile, among the new victims at the Chandpur District Civil Surgeon’s Office, 6 are from Chandpur Sadar, 4 from Matlab South, 3 from Hajiganj, 3 from Faridganj and 1 from Haimchar. Among them is Md. Jahangir(55) of Hajiganj Upazila.

The total number of patients affected by corona in the district stood at 275. The death toll has risen to 21.

According to sources, the district-wise statistics of 275 people affected by corona in Chandpur district are as follows: 135 in Chandpur Sadar, 44 in Faridganj, 22 in Hajiganj, 20 in Matlab South, 19 in Shahrasti, 16 in Kachua, 13 in Matlab North and 6 in Haimchar.

Besides, the upazila-wise statistics of 21 deaths in the district are: 6 in Chandpur Sadar, 4 in Kachua, 4 in Faridganj, 4 in Hajiganj, 2 in Matlab Uttar and 1 in Shahrasti.
