17 more people identified as corona infected in Chandpur: corona-free 25.Corona of 17 more people identified in Chandpur on Tuesday. Among them 8 are from Chandpur Sadar, 2 from Matlab North, 5 from Faridganj and 2 from Shahrasti. On the same day, 25 people were declared healthy. Of them, 6 from Chandpur Sadar, 3 from Faridganj, 11 from Matlab North, 2 from Matlab South and 3 from Hajiganj have recovered.
With this, the number of victims of corona in the district increased to 1951. The death toll is 75. This information has been informed by the Civil Surgeon’s Office.
Sources said 121 reports came from MA Wadud RT-PCR lab of Chandpur-based linguist on Tuesday (August 11). Of these, 17 reports are not positive. The remaining 104 reports are negative.
The current upazila-wise statistics of 1951 people affected by corona in Chandpur district are: 773 in Chandpur Sadar, 222 in Faridganj, 204 in Matlab South, 198 in Shahrashti, 187 in Hajiganj, 159 in Matlab North, 129 in Haimchar and 79 in Kachu.
The upazila-wise statistics of 75 deaths in the district are as follows: 21 in Chandpur Sadar, 17 in Hajiganj, 10 in Faridganj, 10 in Matlab North, 7 in Shahrasti, 6 in Kachua, 3 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sakhawat Ullah further said that the total number of samples collected till Tuesday was 7474. There were 7427 reports. He added that out of 1951 people affected in the district, 1395 have already recovered. 481 people are under treatment.
So far 703 patients have been admitted in isolation. Of these, 663 have already received clearance. At present the number of patients in isolation is 40. Besides, the total number of people in the home quarantine in the district is 11,065. Of these, 8855 people got clearance. At present there are 2210 people in the home quarantine.
