In Chandpur, the corona of 51 people was identified in two days as corona infected.In Chandpur, 51 more corona positive reports were received in two phases on Wednesday. Among them 19 are from Chandpur Sadar, 2 from Haimchar, 20 from Matlab North, 2 from Matlab South, 2 from Faridganj, 2 from Hajiganj and 4 from Shahrasti.
At present, the number of people affected by corona in the district has increased to 1570. The death toll is 71. This information has been informed by the Civil Surgeon’s Office. Sources said 97 reports came in on Wednesday (July 22). Of these, 51 reports are not positive. The remaining 46 reports are negative.
The current upazila-wise statistics of 1570 people affected by corona in Chandpur district are: 593 in Chandpur Sadar, 177 in Faridganj, 171 in Matlab South, 161 in Shahrasti, 153 in Hajiganj, 130 in Matlab North, 116 in Haimchar and 69 in Kachu.
The upazila-wise statistics of 71 deaths in the district are as follows: 20 in Chandpur Sadar, 17 in Hajiganj, 9 in Faridganj, 9 in Matlab North, 6 in Kachua, 6 in Shahrasti, 3 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sakhawat Ullah also said that the total number of samples sent from Chandpur to Dhaka till Wednesday was 6130. There were 5999 reports. 131 pending reports.
He added that out of 1560 affected people in the district, 930 have already recovered. 569 people are undergoing treatment.
So far, 536 patients have been admitted in isolation. Of these, 515 have already received clearance. At present the number of patients in isolation is 21. Besides, the total number of persons in Home Quarantine in the district is 9541. Of these, 6995 people got clearance. At present there are 2546 people in home quarantine.
