Chief Justice Syed Mahmood Hossain said, ‘Death Of Advocate Ahmed Ali Is Irreparable Harm To The Country’.

He said this at a memorial meeting of Ahmed Ali, a linguistic advocate of Cumilla, on Saturday January 25 at noon. The kulkhani was organized at the residence of Advocate Ahmed Ali at Bagichagawe.

Chief Justice Syed Mahmood Hossain went to the residence of Advocate Ahmad Ali this afternoon. He spoke to members of Ahmed Ali’s family there and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Later, at the end of the lunch, the Chief Justice wrote a comment on the book of mourning.

In his remarks, the Chief Justice wrote: ‘Mr. Ahmed Ali was a distinguished lawyer of Comilla, he was my teacher and a close friend of my father; he was the organizer of the War of Liberation; His death is an irreparable loss to Bangladesh. I beg for forgiveness of his outward spirit. ‘

Comilla Sadar constituency member Bir freedom fighter Haji AQM Bahauddin Bahar, Nabinagar MP Alhaj Ebadul Karim Bulbul. Anjum Sultana, a Member of Parliament for the reserved women seat in Comilla. Al-Hajj Omar Farooq, former administrator of Comilla Zilla Parishad. Former Principal of Victoria College, Professor Amir Ali Chowdhury, Comilla Deputy Commissioner Abul Fazal Mir, Superintendent of Police, Syed Nurul Islam and patriotic lawyers were present.

It is pertinent to mention that Advocate Ahmad Ali died on January 11, due to old age. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her grief over her death.

He served in several important positions in the state, including the first administrator of Comilla, a language soldier, the organizer of the War of Liberation, a close companion of Bangabandhu, a member of the Jatiya Sangsad, a vice-chairman of the Bangladesh Bar Council.He was born in the village of Kazalia on march 1,1923 in Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
