Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has expressed deep grief over the death of Awami League presidium member and former home minister Advocate Sahara Khatun.
In a condolence message, the Education Minister said, `Sahara Khatun, a soldier of Bangabandhu’s ideology, has worked all her life for the realization of the rights of the common people of the country. ‘
During the difficult times of the party, she has given courage and advice to the leaders and workers with their legal help. She has played an important role in organizing lawyers who believe in the spirit of the liberation war.
The Minister said,` The country and the nation today lost an honest, efficient and dedicated lawyer and women leader. The void created by his death in the Awami League politics and in the legal society believing in the spirit of the liberation war is not easy to fill. Believers in the spirit of the war of liberation and the soldiers of Bangabandhu’s ideology will remember her contribution with respect.’
In her condolence message, the Hon’ble Minister prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed her deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
