Dr. Borhan Uddin Khan is no more.The elder brother of Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir .He is a former professor of Dhaka University, a former Vice-Chancellor of the National University, distinguished writer, painter. Dr. Borhan Uddin Khan Jahangir(84) is an Ekushey padak holder.
He died at 11:45 pm on Monday at his residence in Gulshan, Dhaka.
His Buried occured at his family’s grave at Gulbahar Khan’s house at the Ashok Ali Khan School and College grounds of Gulbahar in Kachua upazila of Chandpur. Hundreds of devoted Muslims participated in the funeral procession.

Mizanur Rahman, Kadla Union Awami League president. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Jubo League member Nurei Alam Rihat, joint convener of the upazila Chhaleig. Sohag Uddin expressed deep condolences and condolences to the bereaved family.
He joined the Gulbahar village of Kachua upazila in Chandpur district of the then British India’s Bengal Presidency (present Bangladesh) on January 9,1936. His father’s name is Ashek Ali Khan and his mother’s name is Sultana Begum. He passed secondary education from Dhaka Government Muslim High School in 1950 and Higher Secondary from Dhaka College in 1952. He later graduated from Dhaka University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Political Science. In the seventies, he went to England for higher education, earning a PhD degree in 1974 from Durham University.
Borhan Uddin Khan started his career as a lecturer in Political Science at Dhaka University. He later served as professor of this department and retired as professor of this department and he also served as vice-chancellor of the National University.
Borhan Uddin Khan’s literary life began in his eighth grade. At that time his first poem was published. He was the youngest poet of the new poetry poetry collection published in 1950. Other poets in the compilation were Shamsur Rahman, Hasan Hafizur Rahman, and Alauddin Al Azad. In 1983, Dana published his essay, Michael’s Jagoran, and other essays. It has 10 articles. The main theme of this article was Michael Madhusudan Dutt’s Modernism, his Linguistics, Philosophy and Literature Evaluation. In 1993, his book of poetry was published in our mouth. According to poet Shamsur Rahman in his poem, “His poetry is different from all poets and his own presence exists in his poetry.” His writings were published in 2007 the book Poetry. There are 40 poems in this book that were published in the same way as Elihu thought. There are 33 poems in this poem.
He received the Bangla Academy Award in 1969, the UNESCO and France in the Year of Honor in 1986 , the Muzaffar Ahmed Memorial Prize in Calcutta in 2005 and the Ekushey Padak Award in 2009.
His body was buried in the graveyard. Hundreds of devout Muslims participated in the funeral procession.
