Maw. Arif Pattwari of the Pattwari family of Paikdi village of Shahmahmudpur union of Chandpur Sadar has drowned. He was a primary school teacher. (Inna ——- Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
According to local sources, he went missing while taking a bath in the Dakatia river on Monday afternoon, Nov 17,2025. Almost a day later,on the morning of Nov.18, 2025, his body was recovered from the river.
This incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. The family,students and well-wishers are deeply saddened.The death of this respected and religious teacher has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
Meanwhile, Sohel Rushdi, acting president of Chandpur Press Club and founding editor and publisher of Daily Chandpur Khabor, has expressed deep sorrow over his death.
