Education Law To Be Tabled In Cabinet

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said ‘Education Law to be tabled in Cabinet.The Education Act-2020 is in the final stages.It would be raised for approval in the Cabinet soon’.

She said this while addressing the President at the Millennium University Summit in Bashundhara Convention City on Thursday (February 13th) afternoon.

Minister said the government is working on formulating and implementing a timely education policy. Apart from this, the government is also in the process of increasing the standard of higher education, including the minimum qualification guidelines for teacher recruitment, integrated admission tests, increasing allocation to promote infrastructure development research, setting up of central laboratory and innovation labs, expanding library facilities, increasing residential facilities, increasing the number of seats for each university.

Professor Kazi Shahidullah Chairman of University Grants Commission, PKSF Chairman Kazi Khalikuzzaman were present as the inaugural speaker. Also speaking was Vice Chancellor of The Millennium University Chandra Saha, Advocate Roxana Khandaker Member of the University Board of Trustees.
