Illegal establishment eviction operations are underway in Faridganj.227 illegal establishments diverge from Monday morning, December 23 to evacuate illegal establishments on the Baropit Canal of the Chandpur Irrigation Project.
Additional Magistrate of the district (Land Acquisition Officer) Amit Chakraborty, Assistant Commissioners Morshedl Islam, Faridganj Executive Officer Shuli Hori, Assistant Commissioner Sharmin Akhter was there during the eviction.
The operation is going on jointly with the Chandpur District Administration, Water Development Board, Faridganj Upazila Administration, Land Office and Police Administration.
4 unions of Faridganj Upazila have carried out illegal establishment evacuation operations on the Baropit Canal in Balithuba East, Balithuba West, Subidpur West and Gupti East Union respectively.
As part of the evacuation drive to unleash all canals and baropit canals simultaneously across the country, it is being run today , December 23. An illegal eradication operation on the Baropit Canal is being conducted inside the irrigation project at Chandpur.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur (Revenue) Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman said, ‘The lake adjacent to the Chandpur Circuit House and Water Development Board had been seized for a long time by some dirty and illegal occupants. At the behest of the Deputy Commissioner Md. Majedur Rahman Khan,15 illegal establishments of the lake have been evacuated through a mobile court to enhance the beauty of the lake. The evacuation operation was carried out in joint initiative of the District Administration and Water Development Board’.
He added , ‘The beauty of the lake will be started soon with the initiative of the district administration, water development board and road department.
Chandpur Road Division Executive Engineer Zahirul Islam, Deputy Divisional Engineer was present in the operation.
