Fake ‘magistrate and ACC officer’ arrested by RAB.RAB has arrested a fraudster from Savar in Dhaka who identified himself as an executive magistrate and an ACC official. His name is Md. Harun ur Rashid (25). He is said to have extorted large sums of money from people by promising to help them in various illegal activities and give them jobs.
A team of RAB-4 raided the Dagarmora area of CRP Road under Savar Police Station at around 1:15 pm on Sunday and arrested him.
Harun’s house is in Natore district. He had fake ACC ID card, two transfer notifications of RAB executive magistrate, a wireless set, two customs officer’s caps, a police cap, three jackets, a crest and three mobile phones.
RAB-4 Assistant Director Assistant Superintendent of Police Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the media.
Harun Aur Rashid is a fugitive accused in the case of Lalbagh Police Station and Sessions Court.
