Senior officer Jivan Chandra Roy, officer-in-charge of Rural Savings Bank’s district office under the ‘My Home My Farm’ project in Chandpur, said that a total of 53,649 poor and very poor families are rotating in five upazilas of the district, with financial support from five branches of Pali Savings Bank. The project is one of the special initiatives of the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the present government. It started in the 2009. He also said that once he was suffering from financial hardship, he later deposited his house as a member of my farm and added bonus to the government. There are chickens. Nurul (40), a member of the Char Mandari Village Development Association of Rupsha South Union of the same upazila, raised Tk 20,000 from two rural banks, now he works for buses and cane with that money; He earns the income from his income and spends the rest of the money for the expenses of the family.

He said he was very good with his two sons and a daughter. She says she hired a private tutor to teach her children to school. In the last few years, my home loan on my farm has changed his life. She thanked Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina for this.

Shahjahan Dali(50), a member of the Ketua Village Development Association of Sadar Upazila, said, “I am very good with my family and children now because of my farm project at my home.” My wife Soma Jahan (45) and I have borrowed as a member of the association. First 10 thousand then 20 thousand and 30 thousand so now I have a loan of 50 thousand and my wife has 40 thousand. With that money I started planting advanced seed vegetables, and then I didn’t have to look back. Now I have planted mustard, beans, potatoes, bendi on a few acres of land with leasing and sold the bumper, paid regular installment money to the Village Development Association.

His wife Soma Jahan said that he raised the money from the village development association and bought the cows every year during the sacrifice, as well as building a small poultry farm at home.

She said, “Without credit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would not have provided the children without food or education. By Allah’s mercy we are all very good. Now, many of our wishes are being fulfilled. ‘

She added that our cows have been visited by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Upazila Executive Officer, Upazila Chairman, to see their cattle grown, poultry farming and my husband’s cultivation of vegetables. They are very happy.

Jahangir OG (50), another member of the Ketua Village Development Association, said he planted vegetables with a loan of Tk 20,000. I have cultivated mustard on another land, it has yielded good, my house is in my yard, various garden meetings are now in my backyard.

On this occasion the farmers of my area were made aware through the meeting of the farmers. Seeing my progress, many farmers in the area have become interested as a member of the Village Development Association and have been interested in farming by increasing agricultural production. He said the family is now well and truly in good condition from its previous condition.
