Farewell reception to the Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur.Farewell reception has been given for the transfer of Md. Majedur Rahman Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur.
The farewell reception was organized by the District Shilpakala at the Chandpur Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Room on Wednesday afternoon.
Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Md. Majedur Rahman Khan said that more attention should be paid to the culture of Bangladesh. Bigger steps need to be taken to preserve the industrial culture. To make Sonar Bangla sustainable, art and culture need to be further developed. There is a lot of work left for this, it needs to be completed. An artist has to be awarded his rightful qualifications.
District Cultural Officer Ayaz Mabud addressed the function, Bangladesh Theater Forum President Shahid Patwari, eminent rhymer Dr. Piyush Kanti Barua, Executive Member of Chandpur District Shilpakala Academy Adv. Badiuzzaman Kiran and others.
Chandpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Jamal Hossain, Executive Magistrate Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Manik and others were also present.
The speakers said, “We, the people of Chandpur, are not giving a farewell reception to the Deputy Commissioner. We will always keep him in our minds.” He always took many initiatives to make Chandpur more cultured. We will always remember the contribution of this outgoing Deputy Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Majedur Rahman Khan presented honors by the leaders of various drama groups and organizations in Chandpur.
