After a long 8 hours, the ferry service has started at Harina Ghat on the Chandpur-Shariatpur route.
The matter has been confirmed by the manager of Harina Ferry Ghat, Abdun Noor.
Earlier, the ferry service was suspended from midnight due to heavy fog. The fog disrupted ferry traffic. The ferry was closed on both sides to avoid accidents.
According to BIWTC sources, transport from several districts including Jessore, Barisal, and Khulna operates on the Chandpur-Shariatpur route.
Abdun Noor, manager of Harina Ferry Terminal, said that due to heavy fog, the ferry service had to be stopped from time to time. When the fog cleared, the ferry service resumed. If the ferry is closed for a long time, the pressure on both sides increases.
