The fire broke out at around 3:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29, at the Madrasarramdi sarkar bari in Puranbazar, Chandpur. Upon receiving the news, the fire brigade of the Puranbazar Fire Service tried to control the fire for about 5 hours with the help of the locals, but then everything was destroyed.
Sharif’s elder brother Mozammel said to Chandpur Times ‘Sharif’s visa had expired. On the day of the incident, he was covered with visa work. Father Abdul Mannan Sarkar went to the house of Shariatpur village to collect some more money from the relatives. His mother and younger sisters, Sumi and Munni, were sleeping in the house. At around 3:30 pm, his mother suddenly noticed the fire. Mom’s call shouted in and around. At that moment the flames of the fire began to rise. Neighbors try to put out the fire as much as they can. On receiving the news, the fire brigade of the Puranbazar Fire Service, with the help of the locals, tried to control the fire for about an hour.
Abdul Mannan Sarkar said the Chandpur Times ‘that he had fled the village after receiving the news of the fire. Four and a half lakhs of gold and gold was sent to the boy in a steel cupboard, all of which had been burned. They have become absolutely helpless in the fire.’
