Bangladesh will operate flights to India from October 28. The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting on Wednesday, October 14.

When India had earlier offered Bangladesh an air bubble to launch the flight, Bangladesh set October 28 as the date for the inter-ministerial meeting.

Inter-ministerial meeting sources confirmed the matter .

According to sources, India proposed to launch the flight last month. The agreement calls for the operation of 28 flights a week by five Indian airlines. Bangladesh also proposed to operate 28 flights a week from three airlines. If India agrees to the proposal, the flight will start from October 28.

As per the decision of the meeting, 14 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 13 flights of US-Bangla Airlines and one flight of NovoAir will be operated from October 28.

It is known that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism will take steps to send a written proposal to India through the Ministry of External Affairs through the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
