10 Day General Holiday Announcement

10 day general holiday announcement.There will be public holidays from March 26 to April 4 due to the Corona virus. There will be general holidays from March 29 to April 2. Prior to this, March 26 will be followed by Independence Day and later on March 27 and 28. In addition, the weekly holidays will be held on April 3 and 4.

However, this holiday will not be applicable for raw materials, food, medicine stores, hospitals and emergency services. Apart from this, the army will be deployed to assist the private administration for social distance and precautionary measures in the divisional and district towns from tomorrow.

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam on Monday made such 10 decision at an urgent press conference at the secretariat. Ahmed Kayakus, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office, and secretaries of different ministries were present at the press conference.

At the press conference, the Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary said that they had a separate meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed earlier. According to the Prime Minister’s directive, 10 measures are being taken.

Those 10 decisions include restricting the movement of public transportation, and banning all social, political and religious gatherings.

The Cabinet Secretary said that if a low-income person is unable to live in the city due to the Corona virus, the government will provide him with the necessary assistance in his village or house under his return program. District administrators will take action in this regard.
