Government issued gazette notification of lockdown

Government has announced a one-week general lockdown across the country from April 14, Wednesday to curb the rise in corona. A notification was issued on Monday, April 12 at 12 noon.

Except for emergency services, all public and private institutions will be closed at this time. However, industrial factories will abide by the hygiene rules. The lockdown will run from 6 am on April 14 to midnight on April 21.

Earlier on Friday, April 9, State Minister of Public Administration Farhad Hossain told that people have been warned since March 29 to stop Corona. Through the notification dated April 4, various instructions have been given including forming public opinion, wearing masks and following the hygiene rules. However, the way the coronavirus is spreading, experts have suggested that it should be stopped through strict lockdown, he said.

The state minister of Public Administration said all offices, courts and factories except emergency services would have to be closed during the severe lockdown.

Responding to a question on the movement of traders to keep shops open, the state minister of public administration said the market has been kept open for them till April 13. Then a week of strict lockdown is required. The spread of corona and the number of deaths cannot be prevented unless there is a strict lockdown.
