A housewife died after being hit by CNG in the middle of the night at Hajiganj in Chandpur.
The accident took place in the Dherra area of Chandpur-Cumilla regional highway around 9:30 pm on Monday.
The deceased was identified as the wife of Shah Alam, Natehra Gazi Bari of Paschim Barakul Union, Hajiganj Upazila.
Upon receiving the news, Hajiganj Police Station SI Masud Hossain along with allied forces seized the deadly CNG from the spot. The body was later recovered and taken to Hajiganj Upazila Health Complex.
The body was handed over to the family of the deceased on Tuesday morning.
