Home quarantine in Chandpur dropped from 1007 to 453.The number of people living in the home quarantine in Chandpur has dropped . On Sunday (March 15), the district civil surgeon said. Sakhawat Ullah said this at a news conference.
However, in the last few days, health departments are monitoring the home quarantine of 7 corona high-risk countries from various regions including Europe.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sakhawat Ullah said the district administration has been directed to return the foreigners to stay in the home quarantine. However, from February 25 till today noon, the house was quarantined in 8 upazilas of Chandpur. Now the number has dropped to 453. Quarantine has been withdrawn for others as it expires in 14 days.
However, 174 people from high risk countries are being monitored specifically. These 3 are from China (2), Italy (33), South Korea (4), United States (8), Singapore (55), Malaysia (78), and 2 from England.
Health workers working in eight upazilas are keeping track of their overall. However, there is no sign of cold, fever or cough in any of them so far. Still, they were requested to stay at their home. The civil surgeon said two migrants south of the district’s plan were unable to follow such instructions and were alerted by the administration. The rest are instructed to be a little careful.
On the other hand, all preparations have been made, including the 250 bed Chandpur General Hospital, and the 100 bed isolation ward in the entire district. So far, no patient was admitted to any hospital in the district due to coronary symptoms, said the civil surgeon.
