Today Is India’s 74th Independence Day

Today is India’s 74th Independence Day. On 15 August 1947, India gained independence from British rule. Preparations have been made to judge the Corona situation across the country for this year’s Independence Day celebrations.

Like every time, this time the Prime Minister is giving a speech by hoisting the flag at the Red Fort. However, the number of invited guests is limited. Mask is mandatory to enter the Red Fort. The distance from one seat to another will be two yards. Twenty-two members of the Indian Army will take part in the Guard of Honor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the flag at 7.30 am local time. Then he will address the nation.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Independence Day, tributes have been paid to the 20 martyrs killed in Ladakh. Twenty-one Indo-Tibetan border police personnel received awards for bravery on Independence Day for being at the forefront of clashes with Chinese troops in May-June.
