Distribution of Tk. 196 crore loan for alleviation of agriculture and poverty in Chandpur. In Chandpur, public and private banks have disbursed Tk 2 crore 69 lakh 60 thousand in agricultural loans and poverty alleviation till May. Public-private banks have recovered Tk 196 crore 80 lakh 88 thousand from the agricultural loan and poverty alleviation sector.
State-owned banks in 8 upazilas of Chandpur have disbursed Tk 178 crore 23 lakh 11 thousand and 24 private banks have disbursed Tk 44 crore 37 lakh 30 thousand in the agricultural loan and poverty alleviation sector till May 2020-21, a source in the district agricultural loan committee said on June 29.
The state-owned banks have collected Tk 178 crore 23 lakh 11 thousand and the private banks have collected Tk 44 crore 37 lakh 30 thousand. The official distribution rate is 75% and 70% of the allocation. Those banks have an allocation of Tk 302 crore 35 lakh 29 thousand in the fiscal year 2020-21 and private banks have an allocation of Tk 63 crore 92 lakh 41 thousand.
On the other hand, the bank has collected arrears of Tk 451 crore 7 lakh 67 thousand from various customer rates till May in the financial year 2020-21.
A bank official of Agrani Bank said, “Agrani Bank is in constant touch with its customers to collect various categories of loans. As the bank officials are collecting the loan, they are also giving the loan immediately. ‘
