Mahathir Returned To His Office

Mahathir returned to his Office.Malaysia’s interim Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed has returned to his office after the last two days of political unrest. The Malaysian media reported that the car carrying the Malaysian Prime Minister was seen going to the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday morning.

Mahathir sent a resignation letter to the king on Monday,February 24 at around 1 pm local time. After receiving his resignation in the afternoon, King Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia issued instructions for his appointment as interim prime minister until the appointment of the next prime minister and formation of a cabinet.
The Star reported that Mahathir’s vehicle was seen stopping at the PM’s Protocol Gate at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday, February 25 local time.

On Monday, the chief secretary of the government, Mohammad Zuki Ali said, ‘The decision was made in accordance with Article 43(2) of the Federal Constitution’.

In a statement, he said, ‘Mahathir Mohammed will continue to serve the country until the formation of a new government and the appointment of a Prime Minister’.
