National University will start an MPhil-PhD course on Bangabandhu.National University has decided to start an MPhil-PhD course on the subject of research on ‘Political thought, social thinking and ideology’ of Bangabandhu.
It was decided to start an MPhil-PhD degree course on Bangabandhu at the 91st meeting of the Academic Council at the Senate Hall on National University campus in Gazipur on Saturday.
The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the National University, Prof. Dr. Harun-or-Rashid. Six members of the Academic Council attended the meeting.
According to the decision of the meeting, MPhil Leading to PhD Regulation 2019 and Syllabus approved under the War of Liberation, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh Research Institute were approved.
The institute approved the creation of 20 teacher posts at different stages. It has been decided not to attend the Honors-Masters Examination in the affiliated colleges of the National University and not to have the prescribed number 20 in the Incourse Test. As a result of this, the examinations will be held 100 marks in the next academic years instead of 80 marks in the courses.
In addition, the existing rules regarding the college governing council have been amended at the meeting of the Academic Council. The amendment has included the provision of forming a 3-member Election Commission to conduct the election of the governing body. The meeting also approved the granting of MPhil to 2 persons and PhD degree to 1 person.
