‘Pfizer vaccine is safe for children 5-11 years’

The Pfizer-Bioentech coronavirus vaccine is safe for children between the ages of 5 and 11, the company said in a statement. They confirmed the matter on Monday based on the results of the clinical trial. An application for approval will be made soon, the statement said.

In a joint statement, US giant Pfizer and German biotechnology company Bioentech said it was safe and tolerable among aged 5 to 11 in the clinical trial. They also said that data would be submitted to the European Union, the United States, and other countries of the world for approval as soon as possible. In the clinical trial, the interval between two doses of vaccine was 21 days.

This is the result of a Pfizer vaccine trial for 12-year-olds, although the moderna vaccine is still in clinical trials for 11-year-olds.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are being administered to people over the age of 12 around the world to prevent coronavirus. While coronavirus has a lower risk of infecting children, there are fears that the delta type may worsen the situation. Schools have begun to open, especially during the pandemic, which has also increased the risk of children being infected.
