Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “The key to our foreign policy is friendship with all, not enmity with anyone. This policy has been given on to us by the Father of the Nation. And by following this policy, we are moving forward while maintaining good international relations. Today no one can say that any country has hostile relations with Bangladesh. We have a very friendly relationship with everyone.”
The Prime Minister said this while attending the graduation convocation of ‘DSCSC 2020-2021’ course of Defence Services Command and Staff College through video conference from Ganabhaban on Thursday, january 28.
At the time, the Prime Minister further said, “Bangladesh is currently playing a very significant role in various international and regional unity. Despite various limitations, including internal resources, we have extended a helping hand to endangered humanity. About 10 lakh Rohingyas have taken refuge in our country from Myanmar. We also gave them shelter. In the interests of regional security and development, we have not been in conflict with anyone over the arrangements for the shelter and repatriation of the forcibly displaced Myanmar citizens.”
Prime Minister said, “We have entered the new year 2021 through the Covid-19 epidemic with various adversities and risks. In 2020 we celebrated the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Nation, 2021 is the year of celebrating the golden jubilee of our independence. The coronavirus has paralyzed everything in the world. There is a stagnation in everything from socio-economic development. In addition to the health of the people of the country, we are continuing our efforts to continue all development activities, including the country’s economy, and we have achieved success in many areas. In continuation of this, the Defence Services Command and Staff College has provided secure online training to the trainees through its own servers and internet network by installing secure Illinois solutions in a very short time and at low cost in its own innovative way. As a result, the training activities were not disrupted even for a day. This initiative of the Defence Services Command and Staff College is highly commendable and exemplary. So congratulations and best wishes to all the members associated with this organization.”
