Police Will Give Tk. 20 Crore To Prime Minister’s Fund

Police will give Tk. 20 crore to the Prime Minister’s Fund to help deal with coronavirus outbreak and poor people. The amount of this grant has been determined on the basis of seniority of the officers of various levels. Bangladesh Police Service Association president Moha on March 30. In a letter signed by Shafiqul Islam, police members have been asked to pay the money by April 05. After that, all the money will be formally transferred to the Prime Minister’s Fund.

The letter states that as part of the government’s help in combating Corona, the Prime Minister has planned to deposit Tk. 20 crore in the fund. For this purpose, the officers of the IGP position will be given a grant of 20 thousand, DIG 15 thousand, additional DIG 13 thousand, Superintendent of Police 12 thousand, Additional Superintendent of Police 8 thousand and 5 thousand as Assistant Police Super. The amount of donation has also been specified for the officers of the following posts, including the inspector.

Earlier, a day’s salary of armed forces worth Tk. 30.70 million has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Fund.

In addition to this, a total of Tk. 25 crore has been provided by Sena Welfare Company, Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Limited, Bangladesh Diesel Plant Limited and Trust Bank Limited.

At the private level, Bashundhara Group, the top local organization of the first country, has donated Taka 10 crore to the Prime Minister’s Fund to combat Corona. A total of one crore salaries of all the navy members and a sum of Tk. 4 crore and 50 lakh from the other Navy-run institutes and Tk. 1 crore 20 lakh for the one-day salary of all the Air Force have been paid to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund.
