By 2048 Population Of India Will Be 160 Crore

In 2048, the population of India will be 1.6 billion or 160 crores. In 2017, it was 1.38 billion. This information was published in the online Lancet survey on Wednesday (July 15).

According to the survey, in 2100, India will be one of the most populous countries in the world. At this time, the working population in the country may decrease. The number of people in India between the ages of 20 to 64 who can work was about 762 million in 2017. That is expected to decrease to 578 million in 2100, according to the survey.

According to the survey, India will rise from seventh to third place in the world in terms of GDP by 2100. It has also been said that the birth rate has decreased by 2.1 percent in 2019 alone. It will continue to decrease at this rate till 2040. The total birth rate may decrease to 1.29 in 2100. Yet the population of the country will increase.

The survey predicts that India will be the second largest immigration country in 2100. According to the statistics, the rate of immigrants in the country is higher than the number of people leaving India.

The study also said that the world’s population could touch 9.7 billion or 970 crore by 2064. At the end of the century, however, it will be reduced to 8.8 billion. Populations in 23 countries, including Japan, Italy and Spain, could shrink by more than 50 percent.

The birth rate in the world in 2017 was 2.37. It is estimated that in 2100 it may decrease to 1.66. And the minimum lower rate will be 2.1.

The study was led by IHME Director Christopher J.L. Murray. “India’s population explosion is indicating declining economic growth, employment and increasing health and social problems,” he said.
