Prime Minister greeted people on occasion of Great Victory Day

In an audio message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the people of the country on the occasion of the Great Victory Day and called upon them to observe the day following proper health guidelines due to coronavirus infections.

Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar told that a 45-second audio message had been sent to about 17 crore mobile users in the country on the occasion of Victory Day on December 16.

In her congratulatory message, the Prime Minister said, “Assalamu Alaikum, I am Sheikh Hasina. I wish you a happy Victory Day.”

She said, “We have achieved independence through a long struggle under the leadership of our great leader, the greatest Bengali of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”

Sheikh Hasina added, “Coronavirus has disrupted most of our lives, but I still wish you well.”

The Prime Minister said, “I urge all of you to celebrate Victory Day by following the health guidelines.”

“We pay tribute to the sacrifices of millions of martyrs by turning this country into a developed, hunger-free and poverty-free and secular Bangladesh,” she added.

At the end of the message, the Prime Minister said, “Stay well, stay healthy.”
