The demand of 12 lakh 59 thousand 445 books for the upcoming 2025 academic year in the primary education department of 8 upazilas of Chandpur has already been sent to the mass and primary education department. This demand has been forwarded to provide free books to students from Pre-Primary to Class V.
Chandpur District Primary Education Office informed this information on Thursday, September 26.
According to the information received, there are about 3 lakh 38 thousand students in 8 types of 1 thousand 156 primary schools in Chandpur district. Among them there are 1 thousand 156 TE government primary schools. The number of Kindergarten schools in Chandpur is 555 and the number of students is about 75 thousand. According to him – 2 lakh 41 thousand 500 copies of all classes in Chandpur Sadar, 1 lakh 71 thousand 318 copies in Hajiganj, 1 lakh 29 thousand 2019 copies in Shahrasti, 1 lakh 67 thousand 850 copies in Matlab North, 1 lakh 20 thousand 330 copies in Matlab South. Copies, 1 lakh 89 thousand 687 copies in Faridganj, 63 thousand 600 copies in Haimchar and 1 lakh 75 thousand 920 copies of books have been sent.
Chandpur district primary education office senior assistant said, “By November, all the requested books will reach Chandpur and by December they will reach every primary school in the district through the respective upazila education office.” Annual examination steps will be taken as per departmental instructions. It is known that if the government order is received, on January 1, 2025, the book distribution program of primary school students will be taken up in Chandpur in the same way as in the whole country.
