A microbus helper was killed in a road accident in Kachua.A tragic road accident occurred in Chandpur Kachua Upazila . A microbus helper named Dulal (23) died. Five more people were injured in the incident.
The accident took place at Dumuria Dighi on the Hajiganj-Gauripur Kachua road on Monday, May 10 in the morning. The deceased was identified as Dulal, son of Mohammad Yusuf of Bahadurpur village under Gejuria Bazar area of Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur district.
According to the police, all the victims were on their way home from Dhaka to celebrate Eid. In the middle of the road, in the area of Dumuria Dighi on Kachua Road, the microbus actually braked and crashed. The microbus number is Dhaka Metro-cha 13-2089.
According to the locals, the helper Dulal was sitting on the part of the vehicle which hit the tree and he died on the spot. As the condition of the others was not very serious, they got out of the car and left for home in another car. And so no identity of the other passengers was found in the accident.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kachua Police Station Mohammad Mohiuddin said the vehicle was initially believed to have crashed due to brake failure. The deceased was the helper of the microbus. No driver or other passenger was found.
