Shaheed Raju Day was celebrated in Chandpur on various occasions.
Shahid Ziaur Rahman Raju was one of the leaders of the anti-autocrat and mass uprising person.The Day has been celebrated in Chandpur through various events.On Tuesday,Flowers were given at the Shahid Raju’s Feretory at Chandpur Government College premises.Also,for the sake of his soul prayer to be done.
District Awami League General Secretary Abu Nayem Dulal Patwary,Prof. Dr. ASM Delwar Ahmed,the Principal of Chandpur Government College;The younger brother of Shaheedd Raju,Banker Ataur Rahman Patwary,District Student League president Ataur Rahman Parvez Present there.
On that note,Ziaur Rahman Raju one of the leaders of uprising and anti-tyrannical, was martyred on this day by police firing.Five days ago,a procession was happened of the all-party “Chhatra Sangram Parishod” by the police while crossing the Chitralekha intersection in Chandpur town. Raju was seriously injured in the abdomen.He later died while undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.Shahid Raju was one of the leaders of Chandpur Government College Student League Unit.
Ziaur Rahman Raju’s Father’s name is Fazlur Rahman Patwary. One of the organizers of the War of Liberation, Abdul Karim Patwari, former chairman of Chandpur municipality was Shahid Raju’s Maternal Uncle.
