Eminent photographer Sudipto Salam of Bangladesh has donated 30 volumes of Rabindra’s works published from his personal collection to Sahitta Academy, Chandpur. He donated this valuable book on Saturday, Dec 13, 2025.
According to Sahitya Academy sources, the price of this collection of works, which is about 23 thousand pages, is 30 thousand taka. Photographer Sudipto Salam donated the books to Sahitya Academy at the request of Academy Director (Research) Muhammad Farid Hasan.
Director (Research) Muhammad Farid Hasan handed over copies of these books to Director General Quader Palash at the Academy on Saturday (Dec 13, 2025) evening.
Vice President Abdullahil Kafi, Director (Literature and Publication) Mainul Islam Manik, Director (Library, Seminar and Children’s Literature) Ashiq Bin Rahim, General Members Muhammad Hanif, Ariful Islam Shanto, Imran Shakir Imru were present.
Sahitta Academy Director (Research) Muhammad Farid Hasan said that the books donated by eminent photographer Sudipto Salam will be kept in the academy library. Readers, writers and researchers will benefit from this.
Sahitta Academy Director General Quader Palash said that we thank and express our gratitude to photographer Sudipto Salam. We want the reading, practice and research on literature to increase. These books have enriched the academy’s library.
