Storm-rain forecast in half of the country.There may be storms in river ports in 19 regions of the country today. Winds of 45 to 60 kmph can blow in these areas. Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.
The Meteorological Department has given this information in the forecast of the inland river port of the country from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday (August 23).
South or south-eastern direction over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. Temperate gusts or gusts of wind with rain and / or thunderstorms at speeds of 45 to 60 kmph can occur. River ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.
It is further said that like other districts, it is constantly raining in Dhaka. Dhaka has received 29 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
The forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. said the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. There may be light rain or thunderstorms. The wind may blow from the south-east or east at a speed of 8 to 15 kmph. Daytime temperatures may rise slightly.
