More than three crore people have received government relief: Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.The government has continued its relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of ordinary people across the country in disasters like coronavirus. The government has so far provided relief to more than three crore people across the country as humanitarian aid. Information from the Ministry of Disaster and Relief has been claimed.
According to the information received from the district administrations of 64 districts, one lakh and three thousand 535 metric tons of rice has been allocated till April 27 and 82 thousand 806 metric tons have been distributed. The number of beneficiary families in the distributed rice is 74 lakh and 47 thousand 201 and the number of beneficiaries is more than three crore.
So far, a total of 44 crore and 78 lakh 99 thousand 164 taka has been allocated in 64 districts of the country and 37 crore and 28 lakh 72 thousand 948 taka have been distributed so far. The number of beneficiary families is 42 lakh and 21 thousand 524 and the number of beneficiary people is one crore and 88 lakh 13 thousand 551 people.
A total of Tk. 9 crore and 52 lakh has been allocated for baby food aid and so far Tk. 7 crore and 7 lakh 70 thousand 644 has been distributed. The number of beneficiary families is two lakh and 11 thousand 558 and the number of people is four lakh and 36 thousand 104 people.
