Results of the 2020 HSC and equivalent assessments have been announced without taking the exam in the situation arising out of the corona epidemic. 1 lakh 61 thousand 807 students got GPA-5 in HSC and equivalent examination of Autopas this year.
Last year this number was 46,286. This year the percentage of GPA-5 is 11.83 percent. Last year the rate was 3.54 percent.
The results of HSC and equivalent examinations of 11 education boards were published simultaneously on Saturday, january 30. This time all the students were passed without examination in the epidemic.
Last time, the pass rate of HSC and equivalent was 73.93 percent.
The results were unveiled at a function at the International Mother Tongue Institute in Dhaka in the morning. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the results of this public examination digitally by joining online from Ganabhaban.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Education Minister Dipu Moni received a summary of HSC results from the chairmen of the education boards.
Earlier, 13 lakh 65 thousand 789 students of 11 education boards were supposed to give HSC and equivalent examinations this time. The exam was supposed to start from April 1.
But when the outbreak of coronavirus began to increase, all educational institutions in the country were closed from March 17. According to the government, HSC exams are not going to be taken like the fifth and eighth grade final.
At a press conference on October 7, the education minister said that the results of HSC 2020 will be determined by averaging the results of the JSC and SSC final. The results will be declared based on 25 percent of JSC-JDC and the 75 percent of SSC result.
