Training Will Not Work Unless Troops Are Skilled In Firing

The army chief said,’Training will not work unless the troops are skilled in firing.’
The Bangladesh Army’s firing competition has been held at Comilla Cantonment. The award ceremony and closing ceremony was held on Thursday morning in the small firing range of Comilla Cantonment. Also present as the chief guest was the Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, SBP, BSP, PSC, G. He distributed prizes among the winners in the competition.

Speaking on the occasion, Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed said that no training would be of any use if the army personnel were not skilled in firing. Therefore, I give great importance to this firing. In this way, the army is mainly engaged in training itself. And through this training they acquire skills.

15 teams from different regions of Bangladesh Army participated in the competition. In this, the 19th Infantry Division team won the championship with a score of 315.95 points and the 33th Infantry Division team achieved the honor of being the runner up by getting 310.31 points.

Shri Asim Kumar Sharma was the best fighter of 7th division and 19th division soldier Md. Mehedi Hasan was elected 2nd best fighter.

The GOC of 33th infantry division Major General Ahmed Tabarez Shams Chowdhury and the Army’s senior officers from different levels of the infantry division and all the officers of Comilla area were present there during the meeting.
