‘Government plans to establish university in each and every district. The government does not want to create educated unemployed, so it is giving special importance to technical education. Technical education will be introduced in every school from 2021 onwards. One technical school and college will be established in each upazila. So far, 64 technical schools and colleges have been established, 100 are under construction and 329 construction projects have been received’.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said this while addressing a scholarship program for the students of Balaganj Osmaninagar Education Trust in Osmani Nagar, Sylhet on Sunday.
Education minister told the teachers, ‘Do not force students to buy notebooks and guide books. Do not increase the burden of the book on students. It is immoral’.
She also urged the teachers not to force the students to do coaching. She said that teachers are the artisans of the nation.
Sylhet District Awami League President Advocate Lutfur Rahman was present there.
The minister told the students that it is very important to be a better person than getting GPA-5. In addition to being a good student, you will develop yourself as a good person.
It is to be noted that every year 40 lakh scholarships are provided through this trust.
