On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, the National Human Rights Association Chandpur District Branch organized a winter meeting and distributed winter clothes among the helpless . Chairman of the Central Committee of the Association Md. Manzoor Hossain Isha addressed the function as the chief guest at the Chandpur Rotary Club on Tuesday, December 10th.
President of the National Human Rights Association Chandpur District Branch Md. Jahangir Hossain Farazi presided over the proceedings and general secretary Md. Jasim Uddin endorsed the proceedings.The general secretary of district Lawyered Association Md Shahadat Hossain also joined the function.
The chief negotiator was Md Saiful Islam Sekul, the organizing secretary of the National Human Rights Association. Special guest was addressed by Advocate Md Zahirul Islam, Advocate Khorshed Alam Shaon, Advocate Mohammad Ali Hossain Majumder, Shamsul Alam Sardar, Prof. Shahadat Hossain and Rotarian Shahina Akter.
“We always think for ourselves but not for the country and the state,” the chief guest said. For our children, I would like to think that I would grow up to be a doctor or an engineer, but he was not becoming a human. We are constantly being depleted of humanity. We are losing our thinking and conscience. Some of the TV channels are ruining our humanity. Our hearts do not speak humanly. The National Human Rights Organization is working to return from that place.
“Worldwide, serious human rights violations are taking place in various war-torn countries,” he said. In a single Syrian war, the death toll in the last few years is five million. Today, the Rohingya are foreigners in their own country. Most of them now have shelter in our country to save lives. People are dying in Palestine, Israel is constantly violating human rights. Attacks in Yemen are increasing the number of civilian casualties. There will be 85,000 thousand deaths in malnutrition – Save the Children fears.
The joint supervision was jointly under the supervision of Bangladesh National Human Rights Association Chandpur Sadar Upazila Branch President Suman Kumar Joy, Joint General Secretary of the National Human Rights Association Patwary Liton.
After the meeting, winter clothes were distributed among the helpless poor.
