Recommended Portrait Of Bangabandhu At Every Railway Station .The parliamentary committee has recommended the setting up of portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at every railway station in the country. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu, the Standing Committee on Railway Ministry has recommended taking the initiative this year.
The recommendation was made at the ninth meeting of the committee held at the Parliament House on Tuesday, January 28. After the meeting, committee chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury told reporters.
He said that apart from setting up portraits of Bangabandhu at every railway station in the country, it is recommended to install solar. It is also recommended to set up units for demo train repairs at the workshops.
The meeting discussed the preservation of the Pahartali European Club in Chittagong, commemorating the sacrifice of hero daughter Pritilata Wadedar. The ministry informed that effective measures would be taken in this regard. The new railway construction, including the construction of the new railway line, was discussed as defective and the DPP is in the process of renovating the railway bridge, station building, platform, approach road.
Committee member and railway minister. Nurul Islam Sujan, Asaduzzaman Noor, Md. Saifuzzaman, HM Ibrahim and Ghazi Mohammad Shah Nawaz participated in the meeting.
Besides, the Director General of Bangladesh Railways, Secretary of the Standing Committee on Railway Ministry and senior officials of the Ministry of Railways were present in the meeting.
